Tom's Trip to the boat

Tom went to the boat this weekend. Me and Neal were prepared with the online GPS for when he got lost on the way. ( happens everytime he goes he calls one of us for directions). This time he didn't call for directions. I found out the next day why. Seems that all he had to do was ask the cop that pulled him over for speeding for directions.

Yeah, this trip will cost me another $150. for that ticket by speeding Grandpa here. Seems that going 70 in a 55 will cost you that much money. Since it was close to the boat he may be able to go to court for the ticket. But knowing Tom, I will pay that ticket.

Usually he hates it when I'm in the car and we get pulled over, he seems to think that I "talk" my way into a ticket.. Well actualy last time I talked the butch cop into giving him a ticket last time. So he has looked into getting new seatbelts for the truck. I don't think I will like it.

And he thinks he had a bad weekend - hell I had that Whiney-ass dog all weekend. She is miserable when he isn't around. She was glad to see him when he came home. Which seems that she was the only child of his that remembered his birthday. And yes girls he did notice neither one of you called him yesterday.

Tomorrow we close on our house, and will be moving the boat fulltime this weekend. He had moved some of the stuff there this weekend, and got our PO box there. He didn't get the storage unit for the stuff there, still got to get that. It will mostly be for his tools and stuff from the garage. I for one am not looking forward to cleaning out that garage. it does hold alot of memories on how many nice cars he painted in there and then sold them to buy his boat.

Once we get there I will have to find a job for a few months till we leave. Tom won't be able to get a job this time he will have to stay with Boodles and get the boat ready to go.

We are hoping to leave the end of March or beginning of April. It all depends on the weather. We will be gone till late August, getting the boat back before the Hurricanes hit the coast.

But till then, I have a million things to do, I need to pick up doctor records for us, and the dog, Boodles needs shots, and her records picked up. It's a huge list of what I have to do. And Tom's is longer yet. Sometime this week he will have to paint the truck to add to more pressure on him.

So next time I update it will probably be from the boat. I can hardly wait! I know these few months will go by fast trying to get ready. We have so many things to do, and to buy for the boat. We have our list already started. West Marine here we come!
