The Dog has a blonde moment

Boodles After her Swim in the cold water.

The dog isn't as graceful as one might think. She was jumping off the boat and missed the dock.

Sounds like something I would do.

Yup Cold day - dog hits the water. Of course I am at the other end of the leash. So I'm trying to keep my balance, while watching her with the ropes and hoses making sure she doesn't drown. Cause Tom is still on Vacation I wouldn't want to explain that something happened to his dog.

Now not to pick on Tom but the guy has 3 stupid fishing nets.... Why he needs sooo many I will never understand. Do you know how many are on this boat? ZERO.. They are all in the storage shed. On the other side of the marina. I could still be nice and dry if only 1 net was on the boat. Just 1!!!

Getting her out of the water meant I had to get in the water. Of course it would be inhumane to pull this wet creature out of the cold water by her chain. So I scooped her out of the water not worrying about me getting soaked, once out of the water she showed her appreciation by shaking water off of her onto me. (Just in case I had a dry spot left on me). I am so glad that today is the 1st day I feel almost human after having the flu all week.

Luckily the swim platform was out of the water and I was able to step on it finding a dry place to stand and pull her up out of the water. Still a scary moment. She does need her pink life jacket. :D

Earlier this week, one guy was saying eventually you will drop something into the water that you will need to fish out. He dropped his cell phone. I don't feel so bad, He had to dive to the bottom to retieve it. At least the dog doggy paddled till I could get ahold of her.

Called Tom to tell him the news. You know he was worried that she got hurt. And that I wasn't taking good care of her while he is out of town... He never did ask how I was doing knowing I was sick all week....Ummm... Helloooo!!! She was the one that missed the dock... If I missed the dock he would be laughing his ass off...

So here she is now after all the excitement. Looking all sad right when I snapped this picture. She is fine. Her dad will be back Sunday to take care of her.
