Family update:

I am glad that Tom has brothers with common sense. Yesterday he talked with his one brother and he told us that maybe if we insulated the roof, we would be better off, and the boat will cool off faster at nights... Something that we never thought of, he gave us some suggestions of how to do it, so that's on the list of things to do next weekend. How it's gonna be done, not sure but he gave us some great suggestions.

The other time the other brother told us how to check the oil in the generator. And when Tom checked that he also saw how easy it was to fix my hot water tank. YAY... so soon I will be nice and cool, and I have hot water. Thanks Guys!!

Sad News:

Dink's mother, Flo died yesterday. She was a great lady. She will be missed by many.

Tom and Boodles Made it through their First week.

Boodles made it through her 1st week at Doggy Day Care... She seems to like it. She goes in willingly and doesn't give Tom any problems. It's $6.50 a day, but well worth the price for the peace of mind. It's better than leaving her here all day alone, (which she wouldn't do anyhow). And it gets Tom back to work. So it works for us.

Tom actually likes his job. The first day he brought home all the paperwork for ME to fill out. I did. It really did work out well for me. Now his money is being direct deposited into my account weekly. Tip - If you have your wife fill out your paperwork, you may want to check it before you turn it back in. He has learned.... :)

Carpooling:

I've been riding to work with Tom, I get dropped off first and then Boodles. There's no sense us taking 2 vehicles going the same way. Even though he works 6 miles away, and I work 3.... It works well for him - Last night I had to put gas in the truck cause he hasn't.... I am lucky I live within 50 feet of the gas tanks to get gas here..... I have 30 minutes to wait once he drops me off at work, and 30 minutes to wait till he picks me up. So it doesn't bother him at all... He told me I could walk home at night if I didn't want to wait.... Fool thought I would do that???

This week they installed security doors at my job. You now have to punch in a code to get to my department. Well -- that's all fine and dandy, however planning department didn't really think it through very well..... We can jump over the counter and bypass the locked door.... It's just a major inconvenience for us. Now we have to unlock the door if we have to go to the bathroom, then again going back to work. I feel like dajavue...

Calm before the storm

Today was a beautiful day, we got all our work done by noon then us old people went and took a nap. Now its about 7pm and time to go clean out the truck and vacuum it since the dog is shedding really bad. Tomorrow with the Tropical Storm Cristobal is expected to be off the coast of Cape Hatteras, we're expecting rain all day. So everything needs done today outside. I want him to take me to the Outer Banks, but maybe tomorrow.... We won't be going in the water, but still it's gonna be pretty. A few days ago they had to rescue over 70 people from the rip currents. So we'll stay out of the water.
