Yup..... we are celebrating our 27th year today. Well Ok, so I'm blogging, it's not much of a celebration is it.
Actually he's soothing the nervous dog. They are putting off fire works and she is scared to death. So all his attention is focused on her.
We went out to dinner tonight. It reminded me of how I cooked our first meal 27 years ago. Well, ok Let me rephrase that... It tasted like How I cooked meals for the last 27 years.. (is that better Nicole?)....
We got the girls next door to babysit the dog. They were so sweet, they stayed outside and played ball with her while we were gone - She was fine when we got home. They kept her busy while we were gone. I don't think she really missed us. It's sad when you can't go out because of a dog. Tells you who runs this boat.
Fact - This is the first time we left the dog with someone while we went out to dinner since we moved here. We've been here since Feb.
Now the dog is spoiled... that's a fact. Who would of ever thought that we would be paying fees for doggie daycare for a dog.
This weekend tom will be working on the car, getting it ready for the show. We got the tickets yesterday for Lowes Motor Speedway Auto Fair, he's going to get the engine done so it's more street friendly. In simple terms that I understand- It's gonna cost me money. But hopefully it will also sell this time around. It does look better with the new tires and wheels on.
And Finally the update on the Explorer. This could be a soap opera, with trying to get this registered and titled. Michelle went back to the DMV today with the paperwork corrected, signed by a JUDGE, and everything that they requested, and paperwork from Raleigh stating that all paperwork was correct. So what did the DMV people do?

Sometimes you gotta say WTF? The NC DMV Division plays their own games, and changes the stupid rules in the middle of the game. Reason today??? Shell has the Power of Attorney, which was notarized, and signed, and they said they needed a copy of Tom's ID to go along with it. No where on this stupid form did it say that we needed to send that. In fact I even called DMV to see if i needed to do anything else with the POA....
The ID was shown to the notary, and signed and sealed. I hate this state.
What i fantasize about is taking the Explorer to the Scrap yard (which I can't cause there isn't a title to it) --- and having it crushed into a square box shape scrap of metal and sending it to the DMV office with the paperwork - with a note - check-mate...... You win. Its getting crazy now. If I wasn't so pissed, I would probably laugh about how stupid this whole thing is. ...
They never said anything about this the other 13 times we took the title in there and they nit-picked stupid things about it. In fact on this side of the state, they said we needed more paperwork, but Charlotte said we had all the paperwork, then changed their minds, and kept rejecting it for stupid things. Like "white-out", and misspelling... I hate this state some days. But all the paperwork came from the courts and they did it wrong. Maybe when it's all over with I will send them a bill......
How long has this been going on? Paperwork for this vehicle was STARTED in NOVEMBER 2006 ==== Talk about slack ass people...... So we have a vehicle that is now 1/2 the value from when we started this crazy trail of paperwork....
So now the paperwork is coming to us, we're gonna try it back at this DMV office, see what they say about it now. Since these DMV offices seem to do things different in each county. So we will try again on Monday.. I can hardly wait to see what they reject it for. ------ The story will continue.. All I want is a title so I can sell it..... Right now we can't even junk it without the title... Go fricking figure....
