Yesterday we had a Pelican here at the Marina. Today some agency came and got him they said he was stressed out... Well not as stressed out as the dog was when she saw this big-ass bird. And yes I used the Zoom on the camera. I didn't get that close to it. Of course no one told me about him yesterday, So I went to the store about 10pm and ran into him - he scared me to death. We don't know where he came from but just appeared here yesterday. They fed him and he seemed happy but they always look so grumpy so how they guessed he was happy I will never figure out. But hopefully he's at a new home tonight and he is happy.
My thoughts-
I am hoping that someone came and got him and he's not stuffed with bread crumbs and just coming out of a 350 degree oven right now. I noticed in this area there isn't much roadkill... Now not that I am on the look out for Roadkill, but it makes you wonder, if they create roadkill and stop and get the fresh meat at the same time.
Today Tom worked on the ski boat, he thinks he found the problem and should have it in the water in a few weeks as long as the weather holds out. Tomorrow it's suppose to rain so he probably won't be out there working on it.
Google has made this town with Street Views. I looked it up and can pretty much narrow it down when they did it, cause the El Camino is parked in front of the store.

Notice there isn't any roadkill on the street views of this town.
Friday I got the mail and he got his application for AARP. Yup he turns 50 this year. Actually in just a few weeks he will have his birthday. I don't know what I'm gonna buy him.
Boodles has been to the vet's this week. Now picture this. She has been scooting on the ground so I called and had them check her out, told them to bill Tom. Seems her little butt-hole is inflamed, Which isn't funny, but Lord knows I wish I could of been there while they were explaining that to Tom about his little princess. They gave her a shot and they keep checking on her while she is at daycare. The shot makes her pee more. so Tom has been taking her out in the middle of the night, usually about 3:30am when it's the coldest part of the night. At least she doesn't have worms.
He seems to think it may be her diet. She gets Ice Cream every day and starts her day off with Beef Jerky. So he has cut that out of her diet. For all I know he could be stopping at McDonalds on their way to Doggy Daycare to get a steak biscuit for her.
I'm still losing weight and still walking. We go back to walking Monday after work, since it was nearly impossible to walk over the Holidays and with working, but hopefully it warms up soon and we can go back to walking.
Last weekend we had to change out the Hot water heater.

Yeah, the old one was a little rusted. But at least we know now where the water was leaking at. We were wondering why the bilge pump was running so much. So we got a little 12 gallon hot water heater that cost more than the 40 gallon tank, and they spent Sunday installing it. Actually Mitch installed it cause the hull was too small for Tom to fit into. Mitch works on the aircraft carriers doing repairs on AC and he's used to squeezing into small areas. But now I got hot water again YAY!
Well that's about it for the weekly update. There isn't even any kid drama this week. Boring post huh?
