Walking with Whiny Butt

Who is Whiny Butt? Today it was me. Well if you ask Tom, every day is my day for being a Whiny butt.

Today me and Susie went to the post office(distance 1.5 miles). It was such a nice fall day that we thought that we would walk. Finally I am feeling better and today was the 1st day that I thought that I could make it.

Now, I have been not walking much since May cause of my knee, round trip to the post office and back was a mile and a half. It was a bit of a stretch for me. But Crazy me thought it's time to suck it up and get back to walking.

We had 2 options to walk there - we could of walked the RR tracks, but for us that's harder, so we walked the road. It was a busy road today.


Now let's talk about someone whining.... As Susie put it - I whined every 10 steps. Well that was when I wasn't totally out of breath. It was a long walk. I even suggested that we stop at the pizza shop and get lunch so we could take a break..

I did make it, but damn it was painful. My hips hurt, I was exhausted by the time I got to the end of the driveway on the way, and it went downhill from there.

And she wouldn't give me a horsey back ride. I offered to buy a little red wagon so that she could pull me, but she wouldn't. Yeah, she is that mean.. lol

But let me tell you it was pure torture. It was hell with every step. Did she care? Slow down any? Hell No.... She kept that fast pace up. I had to walk faster to keep up with her. I felt like I was walking with the damn Energizer Bunny.




But since this is the first day that I was walking any distance I was happy that I made it there and back.


I was really pumped up - I came home, and took a long nap. I was whipped. Totally Whipped.



She thinks we're going to do it again tomorrow. Yeah we will... About 35MPH in the Explorer we will do it. I learned my lesson today. Some people shouldn't be walking.

The good new is I didn't trip over anything... That should be a newsflash for all that knows me.

There it is.. My first post that picks on me. Notice that I left Diva Dog and Tom alone for a change, there is nothing on here that picks on them. That will change -- probably starting tomorrow.
