Fluff-N-Stuff

Well Diva Dog is the latest to be placed on a diet. Seems that Doggy Day care weighed her and she has packed on a whopping 10 pounds herself. The vet had a fit and told us to quit feeding her people food. I think Tom was more shocked about his precious little princess being overweight then when he topped the scales at 300.

So no more snacks in the house, and they can't stop for their breakfast biscuits, and even ice cream is cut out of her diet. She is not a happy dog.

Tom gets mad when I call her Fluff-n-stuff, says that it's not nice to pick on her about her weight... What the hell ever.... As long as you say it sweetly to her, she thinks its a good thing and wags that little tail. Now if he doesn't quit telling her that she don't wanna look like her mommy and needs to get the weight off, I'm gonna make him shark bait. But he thinks that's ok, but I can't pick on her... men.

But Doggy Daycare said they will even quit giving her goodies during the day. Seems they give her snacks there too during the day. When I asked Tom how much she could possible eat, he informed me that when they are in the back room at the store that the guys all feed her.

One example is Sunday's Treats that she consumed - Seems her and larry ate steak, Mike bought her Ice Cream, someone else gave her beef jerky, and that was just when they went to visit after the game. Now none of these guys send home a doggy bag for me, I would of liked steak on Sunday too. But they don't think about me. They do offer to feed me with weird food, like the time the cooked the snake that they got off my boat. Ewwww Yum...

So she is on her diet. Me and Tom are still on our diet bet. So far he is still winning, but at least we're both losing weight. We no longer have goodies in the house to munch on, I don't bake cakes anymore, or other goodies that are high in calories. And we are walking. Tonight we all went for a walk while I was still able to get off the boat. She has to start exercising more.

We had a ton of rain this morning and last night, in fact several schools closed in the area cause of rain... (probably the coast guard base closed too, I didn't watch the news today). But it was in the upper 70's and was a beautiful day. We were even under a tornado watch this morning when we had the thunderstorm. That is all going to change. Tomorrow the high is going to be about 40ish. And no I haven't found that one heater. Me and Susie searched today, cause she can't believe that I could lose a heater in here. We don't remember where I stored it at in the spring. Guess I will have to get a new one on Saturday Morning when I got to Wally Worlds.

But it's really weird here with the flooding, sure downtown will flood cause of rain, but mostly flooding is caused by wind bringing in water. I knew it was going to be bad when I was coming down the causeway and one of the other marina's on the causeway had water in their parking lot. I have never lived at a place where you had to worry about wind and flooding.
It's really windy out and we rocked and rolled all night long.

Now I won't be totally stuck in the boat for the next few days, My parts for the toilet are still in transit, they are suppose to be here tomorrow and we can get it put back in service once they get here. So Tonight and in the morning I will have to figure out a way to get off the boat to go to the bath house... Right now the only plan I have figured out is to cut back on my iced tea...

We got the speedboat out of the water yesterday. Well we didn't, Tom and the guys did. But again, it's my blog and if i want to take credit for things that make me feel special, you know I will every chance I get.

The new trailer is about 3 feet too short for the boat, but he will exchange it once he gets the oil changed and puts the boat back in the water, seems that with the last storm water got in the oil somehow.

Now - he picked on me cause when I measured for the microwave and bought a cabinet for it, i was off by a quarter of an inch. and it didn't fit, At least I wasn't off by 3 feet like he was with that trailer. Well him and another guy measured --- so they were both off.. I'm assuming that they were lifting weights before reading the tape measure, probably 8 or 16 ounces at a time.

He is tired of the speed boat, and ready to go back to his classic cars. His plan is to put the speed boat up for sale in the spring. Again something that he has spent more time restoring then actually using. I think he is just bored when he's not working, now this is especially true since it's winter and work is slow, he has been home early everyday this week. He comes home and takes a nap before bedtime. He usually doesn't call me when he comes home, he tries to catch me taking a nap, since he seems to think that is all I do all day long.

He started this weekend searching for a chevelle to restore. He just enjoys working on them, he doesn't ever keep them, but restores them the way that he would want it, not taking any short cuts on anything. But I think he misses going to the car shows. This was the first year that he wasn't in Daytona for Turkey Day in quite awhile.

Today he was cute - he came home early and I saw him walking the dog down the docks, so I called him and asked him what time he would be coming home today, he said "i don't know yet".... now the fool was already home, but didn't want to tell me he was home??? lol... caught him in the act. .. Usually he doesn't lie, like when I ask him if my jeans make me look fat, he will tell the truth.... which usually is "no your big ass makes you look fat"... Then he has silence for a few hours. I think he has learned that when he pisses me off he gets the silent treatment which is why he does it. Tonight he's getting the silent treatment again.

I took the Blazer out to the store and had to put gas in it again. It was On "E" again. Now I just put gas in it on Saturday morning when i took it, and haven't been out in it since, till today. I told him that he needs start putting gas put in it, and his reply?? "It's really your fault, you need to put more gas in it when you stop on Saturdays."..... men.

Weekend at Home

I can't believe that the weekend has gone by so fast. But it's already Sunday night, and I didn't get a damn thing accomplished this weekend. Which is barely a step above what Tom got done.

We got the trailer to pull the speedboat out of the water. He went to do that this morning, but thought that the trailer wasn't big enough to get the boat out - so he ditched that project. Of course he didn't measure it, just eyeballed it....

If he would of measured it, the boat would be out of the water right now, and I would have my vehicle back. But now he will have to do it tomorrow at lunch.

Of course Saturday Morning I went out to go shopping, it's like 7am and when I got in the blazer and looked at the gas gauge, I was shocked to see that it was on Empty.. (NOT).... he never puts gas in.. Of course why would he since he knows that every Saturday morning, I will put gas in for him.

Even one week - he came home at lunch time with pizza for both of us. while I thought he was just being romantic, come Saturday morning, I figured out the real reason - He needed to go extra miles to ensure that the gas tank was on "E" when I went to take it.

Well the parts for the toilet have been here, but we need more parts. So it's still running to the bath house several times a day for me. At least we live close to it. It's just right out the back door. And it's official - EVERYONE has seen me in my Winnie The Pooh Jammies. AT least I look cute in them. Did you really think that I was gonna get dressed to run over there? None of the woman around here really gets dressed to go anywhere. In the store in the mornings, seems all the woman are still in some part of their PJ's.

It's time to diet - Me and Tom have started a diet. Since we measured our waists and realized that I am only 5 inches less then him it's time. We will see who loses the most around the middle in a month. I am really trying cause the bet is - If i win he has to rub my feet for a month. Now this guy won't touch my feet let alone rub them. So it's a fight to the finish. Of course we are encouraging each other. Yesterday I bought him cupcakes, and other high calorie goodies.

For those who think that I'm not playing fair - you gotta realize that he can take a crap and lose 4 inches. But as much as I want my feet rubbed is as much as he don't want to touch them, so its a fierce fight to be the winner. I figure I get alot of exercise now running to the bath house a few times a day, so I should be ahead --- So far 3 days into this - he lost 2 inches - I gained 1... Somehow he's cheating I haven't figured that out. I just know that he is.

Tomorrow I am off to the store to replace my missing heater. I figured that would be the quickest way for it to reappear. Give it some competition and let it think that its being replaced and the missing object usually shows up. I have no idea where in the hell that heater went to. I searched everywhere.

Tom has an appointment at the doctors on Dec 21st. I have all his paperwork filled out and ready to go. When he will go for the night for the sleep study I don't know. He has to visit the doctor first to get the referral. But I got it started. Maybe they will give him something that is more effective to keep him from snoring that works better than me placing my pillow over his head or elbowing him. This may even cut down on his bruising.. lol

Sunday is the Christmas party for him at work. I can't find a doggy sitter so I am staying home with the dog, which is fine with me. I don't want to go anyhow. I have never gone to any of his Christmas parties and don't really care if I ever do.

It's at some country club here in town. He thinks he is going to go in T-shirt and jeans ... WRONG... I will allow him to wear black jeans but will have to get him a dress shirt that fits him. The JC Penneys they have here is so small that I doubt they will have his size. I may have to go to Virginia next weekend to get him a shirt, or hell maybe I will just get him a tie to go over his T-shirt if I have to... lol

Well its time to get started for a new week of challenges. With Tom and the dog you never know what kind of challenge you will have to face.

Back From Vacation

It really was nice to go back home even if it was just for a few days. It was nice seeing everyone. A few of the nieces we would of never recognized if our brothers and sisters weren't with them. That is how much they changed. And Cristina we would of never known even by a photo, cause she changed her hair color. BTW, Red hair is always the best choice!! It's hard to believe that it's been that long since we were back home.

The traffic coming home was horrible, and the ride was made longer by the "beer farts" from the driver of the vehicle. Thanks Dink for taking him out the night before and letting him drink beer. I wish I could bottle up the results of the night of drinking and send them back at cha. But we did make it home just in time for me to make dinner for everyone.

Some of us rested well at their mom's house, well ok you know me by now, of course I took photos of them sleeping.

As much as we tried keeping the dog off the couch, she still snuck on it every chance she had. Of course you know Tom was snoozing when I caught her on here.

Michelle and Ashly weren't bored, they both had their laptops and connections to the Internet, and that is what they did most of the day

We all had a great time. The dog was behaving herself, didn't jump on Grandma and stayed out of her way. Of course she begged alot, but that's just typical Boodles.

But when she wasn't begging - she was relaxing..

Or looking out the window.

She did fall in love with Uncle Bob cause he tossed her a ham bone, and he didn't cut it up into little pieces like her dad did. She was in heaven with that bone. She liked Bob better than Kay. She kept trying to bite Kay, which Tom told her that she wasn't biting she was trying to kiss her.. HA! Even Kay didn't fall for that one, I think the sounds of the dog's jaw clamping together was a good clue.

Before we left Tom was going to run the vacuum, but couldn't figure out how to turn it on. I'm guessing that he knew but didn't want to do it, so I ended up vacuuming the dog hair up so that Grandma didn't have to. I need to domesticate him more I think.

We got lost on the way up and the way back actually in the same spot, which is kind of sad - we had 2 GPS's and a print out of Google Maps showing the way, and still we made wrong turns. Of course the Driver will blame the co-pilot but if you think about it , HE was the driver that made the wrong turns. We had to cross bridges to go through tunnels under water, which I don't know why I thought that they would be Glass tunnels and I could see the water, I was disappointed that they were like going through the tunnels in Pittsburgh. How boring.

Hampton Roads Tunnel which goes under water

But we did make it home and Sunday we felt like we were given a huge can of Whoop-ass. We were exhausted. Shell had to leave Sunday and make another 6 hour journey back to Charlotte.

But now things are back to normal here. I made an appointment to send Tom for a sleep study so that he can see why he quits breathing during the night when he sleeps. And no it's not from the pillow I use to make him quit snoring. He wakes up as soon as that pillow hits his face..

That appointment isn't till a few weeks so it won't be that much longer. He has to go to the Doctor to get a referral then he can go for the night. So maybe I can be his nurse for awhile after he goes for this sleep study..

He's afraid that he won't be able to fall asleep there.. lol If you followed my blog - you notice that's probably not going to be a problem for him, the guy can fall asleep anywhere.

But I'm not sure if it's lack of sleep or I have finally killed his taste buds over the years of bad cooking, but last night he said that he really liked my meatloaf- and even asked for seconds. That is the 1st time in 27 years that he even asked for seconds on my meatloaf.. So he really needs to go for this sleep study- he's starting to hallucinate.

The form to fill out for the sleep study is 10 pages long. I will be up many nights filling out this stupid form. I guess I will have to study what he does to be able to answer the questions, as I usually sleep on the couch so that I can get some sleep without all the snoring. I would of thought that the fool would of wanted to fill out the paperwork himself, since last time he gave me paperwork to fill out and his paycheck now gets deposited into my bank account not his.. :) .. But he didn't learn his lesson from that one so I will answer these questions for him.

We really do need to come home more often. Maybe once Tom gets better and we both can get a better night sleep without him snoring we may be able to travel more. We really did have a nice time. We got to see everyone, even if it was only for a few minutes before they got mad and left not to be heard from again over the visit.
