Test Results are in

The test results from Tom's sleep study are back. We found out the results last week when he went to the doctors. It really didn't shock us, we knew he wasn't sleeping good, although he sleeps often, he doesn't sleep good. In fact he really doesn't sleep.

They found that he quits breathing for several seconds each minute. (really this isn't totally accurate, cause I wasn't there holding the pillow over his face which would of added to the not breathing part of the test.)

He may be having seizures during the night, the next test will include seizure hookups to see how bad the seizures are, and if they are caused by sleep deprivation and lack of oxygen.

During his pretend sleeping periods his oxygen levels drop down to the 60's, and he never enters really deep sleep. So this is probably why he feels tired, and has no energy.

At least at work he can sleep during the day when there is nothing else to do. They do laugh at him, cause they can be grinding and hammering right beside him and he will sleep through it, but if his lighter drops on the ground he wakes up.

So the next appointment is scheduled for the day after groundhog day. Again I will be stuck with poochzilla for the night. she hates it when he's gone. Hopefully they can get him in earlier and get it over with. He's ready for it to be over with and so he can sleep.

So on the next appointment he will be tested for the machine, and his seizures, and we go from there. Then I will be lost at nights..

I'm so used to him waking up and we will go out and walk during the night or go to the store, if he sleeps all night I will be bored. The dog will be lost, cause she likes him up in the middle of the nights too.

What if he don't want to take naps after getting Fixed... he will start bitching at me about taking naps during the day. Right now he naps right along with me.

And about the Term I used -- tom's getting fixed.. seems that he has a problem with that term. he would prefer that I said he was getting treatment, and not getting fixed. you know.. what ever dude, it's still the same thing. either way I'm glad he's getting it corrected.

So we at least got that taken care of. The thing that pissed me off is that he hasn't been to the doctors since we've been married, almost 29 years (OMG HAS IT BEEN THAT LONG???) .... and he had blood work, and everything came back perfect. How can someone not have medical tests, treatments for all those years and not have any problems. He has only been to the doctors when he got hurt. Well he did have a few days in the hospital once when a cut that he had got infected and lacquer thinner didn't fix it.

So since I got off work early to go to the doctor with him, i wasn't feeling real good, ran by my doctor and found out that I had pneumonia. So Friday I had to suck it up and go into work feeling like crap. But after taking the medication I'm starting to feel a little better.

I'm still on his poopie list - Seems that I got stopped again last week and got another damn speeding ticket. 2x in 2 months... They are doing road construction on the road here and I guess I figured out how they are going to pay for it. But giving out tickets. Tom put this into proper perspective for me. Told me that if I didn't start wearing my seatbelt, that in my obit he was going to add "instead of flowers, please send a seat belt so we can strap her in"..... I really think he will do that , and knowing my family - they will do that ... and for the rest of eternity, I will be in a seat belt which i despise.

So tomorrow its back to work for me. I don't know how I got talked into going back to work, but I did. I just have to suck it up I guess. After all that is what Tom would tell me to do.
